About Us

ROMANS 1:16-17. I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile. For in the gospel a righteousness from God is revealed, a righteousness that is by faith from first to last,just as it is written: “The righteous will live by faith.”

We are a vocal ensemble specializing in gospel and Christian contemporary music. The group is based in Davao City, Philippines, but it was born during a concert tour of Canada in 2005. For more on that, click here.

We sing most often in local churches, but we occasionally have the chance to perform in larger concert venues. Our roots as a concert choir have served us well; the discipline and performing values we learned from our secular beginnings have allowed us to bring the added dimension of excellence to our ministry.

Our desire as a group is to proclaim the good news of salvation in Jesus Christ, as well as to encourage and inspire believers through songs.

The Himig Gospel Singers is an integral part of THE HIMIG SINGERS, Davao City’s premiere concert choir. We perform together on many occasions, the most recent being our series of Easter concerts last April.
