Life, I thought, should have been easy for a person who met Jesus Christ at an early age. I was raised by a Christian family; in fact my mom is a pastor’s kid. My dad became a Christian even before he married my mom and has been very faithful in serving God till now. I accepted Christ as my Lord and Savior on January 3, 1983 and since then became very active in Sunday school and many other church activities and ministries, like the choir.
I am separated from my husband though not proud of it; but still God has given me joy – my 3 wonderful kids. I just pray that they will grow with strong faith in God, have a good life and just be obedient to Him so that they would not experience what I had gone through.
I used to envy people who came to Christ just after they had experienced hardships and difficulties, met accidents and encountered life’s cruelty because I thought Christians are exempted from experiencing those. But I was wrong, we are even more vulnerable to sin and temptation. One good thing is that since Christ is in us, the Holy Spirit helps us resist evil. I just praise God for He has been so good to me and my kids. I pray that He will continue to use me and give me the privilege to always be of service to Him. To God be the glory!!!
