Why was Jesus crucified? What has this to do with me? Our heavenly Father longs to give us so much more than we may ever think to ask, so much so that He gave His only son Jesus Christ to die for our sins. John 3:16 says: “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son, that whoever believes in Him will no longer perish but have everlasting life.” Praise God for that free gift of salvation that was offered to me! At the early age of 9, I became a child of God through the help of my Sunday school teacher and I soon followed Christ in water baptism.
Having Jesus in my daily walk makes me feel at peace; which is funny because I am involved in a ministry that is in the forefront of a battle. As long as the enemy is loose on the earth, every Christian is involved in a struggle, a veritable war. We are told that we fight not human forces, but spiritual principalities and powers that inhabit the atmosphere around us. So, we are enjoined to clothe ourselves with the armor of God, in order that we might be able to effectively withstand the attacks of the evil one. Now, I regard Jesus not only as my Lord and Savior but as my greatest, mightiest defender above all.
